Improving Transit Involvement in Development Review

The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) Transit 2020 plan includes Objective 3.1, which is "to promoted land use planning and urban design practices that facilitate transit service and access." This report has been prepared to address two specific strategies under this object:

•   Strategy 3.1.1; "Incorporate transit supportive strategies and standards in state and local plans, and proactively promote implementation of these standards."
•   Strategy 3.1.2; "Strengthen the ability of transit agencies to effectively review and influence the transit accessibility of proposed developments."
