I understand that my information will be entered into the reThink Ridematch Database and used to match me with other commuters for potential carpool, vanpool or bikepools, based on proximity to my home, my work address and work schedule compatibility. |
I understand that others in this database will be able to view information about my commute, as well as any contact information I include in my profile (excluding my home street address), solely for the purpose of ridematching, but that my information will not be provided, shared or sold to third-party agencies. |
I acknowledge that participating in a rideshare arrangement is an individual decision and that I am responsible for operation of or participation in any carpools, vanpools or any other rideshare options. |
I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to determine and judge the suitability of others listed as my potential rideshare matches for carpooling, vanpooling or participation in any other rideshare option, including but not limited to the individuals’ background history, driving record and roadworthiness of vehicles. |
FDOT, its contractors and funding agencies shall have no responsibility or liability for any claims, expenses or damages resulting from any individual's participation in a carpool, vanpool or any other rideshare option. |
Per Florida Statute 768.091, employers are not liable for injuries or damages resulting from employees who share the ride to work. Nor are employers liable for injuries or damages even if the employer provided information or incentives or otherwise encouraged their employees to use a rideshare option for their commute to and from work. |
I understand that I may delete my profile or otherwise be removed from the reThink Regional Ridematch Database at any time upon my request. |
